MADELAIN ROSCHER
Described as the #PRguru by her peers, Madelain Roscher is the CEO of PR Worx, a full-service marketing-communications agency, which she established in 2001. With 30 years’ in-depth industry experience based on an impressive consulting and corporate career, the firm has achieved remarkable successes under leadership.
Notably, PR Worx is the highest awarded public relations firm in Africa having been honoured as the best in Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, South Africa and Africa for six consecutive years. The agency has also won 60+ industry awards over the past seven years. PR Worx’s tagline: Africa’s Best, is not just a marketing slogan but is a well-deserved honour following 22 years of service excellence.
In her personal capacity, Madelain also won the:
· Africa Women Leader Award by the World Women Leadership Congress and Awards for the incredible empowerment work she has done in Africa;
· Woman of the Year: Media category;
· Most Influential Women in Business award;
· Most Admired PR Professional in South Africa;
· and was the first person to receive the Public Relations Institute of South Africa’s (PRISA) Lifetime Achievement Award.
Her knowledge of the sector, her crisis communications expertise, and developing impactful marketing communications strategies that generate a maximum measurable return on investment for her clients, are some of her strongest service offerings. Her responsibilities include strategic business development for her own firm and that of PR Worx’s blue-chip client portfolio.
Prior to starting up PR Worx, Madelain was head of South African Airways’ worldwide corporate communications function and the airline’s global spokesperson for a period of six years.
Our PR Guru thrives on innovation, particularly those that help expand her clients and her company’s reach. She also personally set up strategic partnerships with 27 independent communications’ firms across Africa, which means that PR Worx manages all Pan-African clients’ requirements.
We assist local and multinational companies across the continent, particularly in the mining and engineering, and the FMCG sectors. In recent years, many clients adopted an international policy to only deal with apolitical suppliers.
PR Worx has assisted many politicians with reputation management and presidential campaigns over the years, it became necessary for Madelain to split the agency’s political and corporate services. In 2017, she created a standalone business called Status Reputation Management Consultancy, which solely focuses on political communications and marketing, while PR Worx focuses on corporate clients only.
Madelain is currently studying towards an MBA in Media Leadership to beef up her resumé to match the credentials of the impressive people that she works with. :) Seriously!
